Cessna Delivers the 100th Citation CJ3

Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, delivered the 100th Citation CJ3 today to Jeffrey Mark, chief executive officer, principal owner and co-founder of Mark-Taylor Residential Inc., an Arizona-based real estate development corporation.

Comair Flight 5191 Crash

A Comair CRJ-200 regional jet crashed during takeoff early Sunday and burst into flames, killing 49 people and leaving the lone survivor - the co-pilot is in critical condition.  Initial speculation is the aircraft departed on a runway too short for that type of aircraft.

Honda Aircraft Company Established

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today announced that is has established a wholly-owned subsidiary, named Honda Aircraft Company, which will be responsible for the further development, sales promotion and production of the innovative HondaJet. The new company will be based in a facility at the Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina, where the prototype HondaJet was assembled and flight tests have been carried out for more than 3 years.

GAMA CONTINUE SHIPPING AIRPLANES AT RECORD PACE

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced record-breaking shipment and billing figures. In the first half of 2006, shipments of general aviation airplanes totaled 1,843 units, a 19.1% increase over the same period last year, with industry billings rising 34.9% to $8.8 billion.
