Liberty Aerospace, Inc.  announced the appointment of it's first United States dealership – FIRST FLIGHT AVIATION, LLC (“First Flight”) – located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. First Flight has taken delivery of their first two aircraft and will add another two aircraft to their inventory before the end of the year.

Sonex Aircraft - Education Starter Packs

For schools and community organizations wishing to eventually build a Sonex Aircraft Complete Airframe Kit as a full Sonex Education Initiative participating institution, this Starter Pack can be a great “pilot project” to determine the feasibility of using metal aircraft construction as a teaching tool and catalyst for inspired learning. For those who do not intend to build a complete aircraft, this Starter Pack is still a great way to introduce metalworking and technical communication skills to students within the exciting context of aviation.

Airbus A380 Historic Flight

After months of delays and massive cost overruns the largest airliner ever built, the Airbus A380 completed its maiden commercial flight Thursday.  Singapore Airline's completed the seven-hour and seven minute-long flight from Singapore to Sydney while 455 passengers enjoyed champagne and caviar.

As early winter weather begins to descend on the rugged high country of northwestern Nevada, the search for aviator Steve Fossett, missing since September 3rd, continues from the Flying M Ranch (near Yearington, NV) with an important extension to the privately funded and directed effort planned for the coming week. This will include the use of high altitude digital mapping technology linked with computer analysis and anomaly search techniques.
