Cirrus Unveils Very Light Jet

A mere $100,000 will hold a delivery position on the new Cirrus seven passenger personal jet. The single engine concept jet will be able to land on grass strips and just like all other manufacturers Cirrus envisions a $1,000,000 price tag.  To date no one has built and delivered a very light jet in this price range.

Cessna Delivers 5,000th Citation Jet

Cessna Aircraft Company, announced today at the Paris Air Show it has put into operation the 5,000th Citation business jet – a Citation X – accounting for nearly half of all jets delivered by US manufacturers.

Chinese Order 50 Adam Aircraft A700s

Adam Aircraft announced that Hainan Zhong Hang Tai General Aviation Airlines, the Hainan, China based operating entity of Ameritech Aerospace has placed a firm order for 50 Adam Aircraft A700 VLJs on May 21, 2007. The order was formalized during the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Medical Jet Crash

Just after reporting an emergency after take-off a Cessna Citation 550 that was carrying donated organs and a medical transplant team crashed into Lake Michigan killing all six people aboard the airplane. The pilot had reported the aircraft was experiencing a "trim runaway" before the jet disappeared off the radar screen. There were six people on board the aircraft.  Witnesses to Monday's crash said the airplane rolled inverted before it hit the water.

Englewood, Colorado - Adam Aircraft today announced several important milestones for the A700 AdamJet certification program. The first fully conforming A700, Serial Number 003, joined the flight program with its first flight on April 9, 2007. Since first flight, testing has focused on the evaluation of the production configuration of flight controls, landing gear system, avionics, and data acquisition system used for flight testing.
