A twin engine aircraft departing Vancouver International Airport bound for nearby Pitt Meadows Airport crashed into the ninth floor of a 15-story apartment building in the Vancouver, B.C. suburb of Richmond.

One person was killed and two injured during the fluke afternoon accident.  The aircraft could be seen embedded into the building and fortunately no post crash fire ensued.
