Cessna’s new Cessna 162 SkyCatcher light sport aircraft prototype crashed 30 miles southeast of the Cessna Aircraft Company factory in Wichita, Kansas.
The crash occurred near a wooded area. Fortunately, the test pilot landed safely by parachute. A KAKE television news team initially reported the accident. Witnesses told the news team that they heard a pop and saw sparks before the airplane crashed. Cessna has nearly 1,000 orders for this new light sport aircraft. |
