Due to mechanical failure noticed shortly after take-off Legendary air show pilot Sean D. Tucker was forced to bail out of his Challenger aerobatic biplane on Tuesday morning, while practicing aerobatic manoeuvres over Red River Parish, Louisiana.

Tucker was able to climb his aircraft using backup trim to approximately 8,500 feet where he was better able to asses the situation.  It was determined that the aircraft could not be landed safely and Tucker flew to an area where he would eventually bail out of the aircraft and the damage and risk to individuals and property on the ground would be minimal.

Tucker parachuted from the aircraft safely and the biplane crashed in a remote area.
