On Friday, NAV CANADA announced that a tentative collective agreement had been reached with the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW), representing 350 employees who provide flight planning services, simulation support for air traffic control training, aeronautical information services and design, and flight data analysis for billing and publications support. Terms of the deal were not available, but the tentative agreement is known to be for a four-year term from July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2009. The ratification vote is expected to take place within the next month. “Seven of the eight unions representing the NAV CANADA employees now have agreements finalized, or in the process of being finalized, in the current round of bargaining,” the company said.
